The weight of a diamond is expressed in carats where 1 carat equals 0.2 grams. A carat is divided into 100 points. Every diamond submitted to the laboratory is weighed on receipt. |

| The measurements of a diamond are expressed in millimeters. For round brilliants, the certificate defines the minimum diameter - maximum diameter x height. For all other shapes, it defines length x width x height. |
