| Cut is a very important aspect of every diamond. If a diamond is cut to the proper proportions, it will allow the greatest amount of light to be reflected, therefore allowing for maximum brilliance. This brilliance which is reflected out of the table of the diamond is often referred to as the fire of the diamond. |
| When diamonds are improperly cut this fire dulls and in many instances are not visible at all. When diamonds are cut too deep, the light disperses out the side and when cut too shallow disperses out the bottom. |
