Date: Stephanus Johannes Paulus Kruger was born in 1825. He was the third child of Caspar Jan Hendrik Kruger and Elisa Steijn who were simple farmers.

Place: Vaalbank Farm in the Colesberg district of the Cape Colony 

Born on October 10 1825 at his grandfather's farm, Bulhoek in the Steynsburg district.

• 1993 proof gold Krugerrands were a limited-mintage collector's edition of the standard gold coin, produced by the South African Mint with a higher-quality finish. These coins were created using specially prepared dies and polished blanks, resulting in a sharper, more detailed appearance than regular bullion coins. There were only 3,963 1oz proof coins minted for that year.

The Gold Krugerrand comes in several sizes: 1 oz, 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, and 1/10 oz, with each coin being made of 22-carat (91.67%) gold alloy and having a specific weight, diameter, and thickness for each size. The 1 oz coin has a total weight of 33.930g and contains 31.103g of pure gold, while the fractional sizes are proportionally smaller, with the 1/10 oz coin having a total weight of 3.393g and containing 3.110g of fine gold.

The significance of the 1993 South African Krugerrand is primarily that the proof version is a rare, limited-edition collectible with an extremely low mintage, making it highly sought after by numismatists. This rarity is a result of the low sales and production levels that occurred during the international sanctions against South Africa, which peaked in the 1980s and 1990s.
