DESCRIPTION:

Golden State Mint (GSM) produces various 1/10 oz .999 fine silver rounds and bars, popular for fractional, affordable investing, and collecting. These 3.11-gram US-made products often feature iconic designs like the Walking Liberty, Incuse Indian, or Aztec Calendar. They are usually available in brilliant uncirculated (BU) condition.

The Aztec calendar system, used in pre-Columbian Mexico, combined a 260-day sacred cycle (tonalpohualli) with a 365-day agricultural cycle (xiuhpohualli) to track time and rituals. These cycles operated simultaneously, forming a 52-year "calendar round". The iconic, 25-ton "Aztec Calendar Stone" (or Piedra del Sol) was actually a ceremonial altar rather than a functioning, everyday, practical calendar, featuring central imagery of the sun god Tonatiuh.
