(ALMOST UNCIRCULATED SETS)

AU banknotes are paper money notes that look almost

brand new but show very minor signs of handling.

Key Characteristics of AU Banknotes

• Appearance: The paper is clean, bright, and crisp, retaining its original shiny look (sheen).
• Corners: The corners are sharp and square, with no rounding.
• No Creases: An AU note cannot have a hard crease, which is a sharp fold that breaks the paper fibers or damages the surface.
• Minor Flaws: The note may only show very light evidence of handling, such as a single light fold through the center or a slight counting bend at a corner—never both.
